Happy Halloween!!

Donna the old lady, Halle the witch and Ryan the baseball player (now that's a real stretch of the imagination!)

Lindsey as a mummy and Kaytlyn as a scarecrow

Only had 4 trick or treaters this year -- (5 if you count the old lady that showed up) Donna's costume was great - I almost peed I laughed so hard!

clear stamps at Wal-Mart!!

these are the really cute stamps that I found at Wal-Mart today - NurseViper on the Cricut MB enabled me and it seems that I am one of the lucky ones that can find them - I think that I was the first to see them at Wal-Mart - the display was fully loaded - but not when I got done with it - I picked some up for someone whose birthday is in November (could be almost anyone!!) and some for a RAK for my Cricut sisters....

sour cream containers

okay I will admit that I could not figure out what was the big deal with "sour cream containers" on the Cricut messageboard - why were people making containers for sour cream???
Well, I finally saw what they all were referring to and I am totally in love with these cute and easy little buggers!!

here are 2 that I made for Halloween goodies. These hold M&Ms some will hold Cheerios for the littler guys that do not "do" M&Ms yet...and I'm going to make some with Rolos and a Mini Reeses Peanut Butter Cups.

I HATE SNOW!!

It's not even Halloween and already I had to leave work early to get home - yesterday it took me 2 hours to make a 45 minute drive. Cooperstown Hill was closed so I had to go around the lake (which turned out to be the best part of my drive) - it added about 20 minutes to my drive. Once I got to Rt 28 in Richfield traffic was bumper to bumper and we crawled down the hill, having to stop several times due to stupid drivers who thought just because they had a pickup truck that they were invincible. I have never seen so many trucks off the road! Not even when we had that massive snow storm on Christmas Day 6 years ago...
Once I got to Mohawk the roads were just wet - needless to say, I was thrilled to finally get home!

My flower cards

I spent my "vacation" crafting - today I made 7 (whoopee) cards (I also altered 7 clocks this morning.) I have a craft fair on the 24th so I really have to rev up the production. For these cards I used pictures of my flowers taken over the past couple years. I think I am going to leave them blank - easier on me and maybe more apt to sell....

Below are some pictures of the trees out back of the house.

I love the colors of this one.

procastinator!!

I'm so bad... I have a 5 day "weekend" (today is my 2nd day into it) I had planned on cleaning out my computer room, moving out all the furniture, painting (have picked out a coffee color) and then put my craft supplies in some sort of organized chaos - I wanted to put up shelves so I can have more space to create and to have my laptop and the printers and the cricut laid out (so I will use it more), maybe have room for my sewing machine so I would use it on my layouts - well...... I did some Christmas shopping on Friday and today I woke up with really good intentions to at least clean up the room....you know throw out the papers that I dont need, organize a little.... well when I woke up and walked out into the living room the sun was shining and it was beautful outside... but I could not see much with all the crud on my windows!! So now I have clean windows throughout the house- I even washed curtains and wall hangings... and cleaned out the dead flies from the overheat light fixtures... so now the sun can shine through my squeaky clean windows ... but the mess is still in the computer room and I will keep it up until I have to go back to work and will kick myself in the ass for not taking advantage of my time off!!

It seems I will find anything else to do rather than clean up that room!!

Cards for a Chinese Auction

Recently my sister Lisa and I donated some handmade cards and altered lunch boxes (one Christmas one and 2 all occasion w/ 20 cards in each) for a Chinese Auction to help raise money for a local HeadStart program. I was told after the auction that there were a ton of people that were trying to win them and they were one of the top money makers.
I did not take any photos of the cards that Lisa made - sorry sis!

Sisters

This picture makes me crack up - my one and only attempt at karaoke - caught on film!
Sue and I at the beach in Vero - we had such a good time
Lisa & I trying to "ice skate" on the lake - I remember that Sue was pregnant with Sierra.
This was Sue and I at Phil and Arvilla's wedding I've been told - I sure don't remember it.
Sue, Buffy and I one Christmas at Backus Rd, I think we were wearing maxi dresses that Gramma Landers made us.
Sue and I one Christmas - me before I had boobs!! and I think the chocolate I was eating was yucky.
Sue and I posing on the "pet rock" at Backus Rd - she was a princess at the Jr. Prom - I look thrilled don't I - with a mouth full of braces.

Lisa and I - I was a huge baby!
Lisa and I on the lawn in front of the little pink house in Vero I think Kelly or Chip was next to us but all you can see are an arm and a leg.
Lisa and I giggling in bed.
Cousin Lyle, Me and Lisa under the huge trees that lined Gramma Lin's driveway at the farm.
Lisa and I one Christmas morning - what was on my head?
These are copies of gift scrap books that I made for my sisters for one Christmas - nothing wonderful but very meaningful to the three of us.
