quick birthday cards

This was a quick card that I made for Paul, my branch manager for his birthday - I cut out the "happy birthday" letters and the little smiley face, edged with brown ink then popped them with pop dots then layered on top of "Happy Birthday" . This paper was in a DCWV stack - I don't remember which one ( I"ve got way too many!!) and this was really busy - I thought this helped tone it down a little. Threw on a red metal circle clip and it was all done.
Here is one I made for Jennifer my sister in law - used all scraps of paper (Daisy D's) and the stamp is one that I picked up half price... Love it - its really easy to color in and personalize.

NSSS projects

This month the NSSS package called for a recipe - Sara and I decided that since she does not own a crockpot (can you believe that?!?!) we would do a layout with a soup recipe I decided to share with her Lisa's recipe for Chicken Corn Chowder - really yummy on a cold day and easy peasy!

This card is my interpretation of "as many circles as possible" - don 't know why but that's what we were supposed to do - so I did it!
And this is what I made Sara for her birthday - I altered a desk organizer - her favorite colors are black and red...hope she likes it! Close up of the button accents....

Barbie!!

Barbie turns 50 this year so Mattel has issued some great reproductions - even though I haven't bought a Barbie for myself in ages I caved for this one! It's a redhead twist n turn - packaged with ZOKKO - one of my favorite outfits from my childhood.

Isn't she a beauty? with her pouty red lips and "real" eyelashes!

Busy day

Today I was very busy creating... I made some felt flowers with my Cuddlebug... I just need to buy some different colored wool yarn now... I completed a challenge Layout from my NSSS group from the Cricut MB - I usually do not do well with a sketch but this one was really easy and I liked the results. This LO was of Sue & Dan's 25th wedding Anniversary surprise party that Sierra threw for them.

And I completed a 2 page layout of Chuck's "new" toy... a 1972 Arctic Cat Panther ( or if you are from Schuyler Lake ~a "PANNFER")

Pretty good for a Sunday!
