Happy Birthday Halle!!

Halle turned 7 on Saturday - I can't believe how fast the time has passed!

Here is the birthday card I made for her.

SU party

I hosted a Stampin' Up party Saturday - I absolutely love love love the products that SU carries... here is the stairstep card we made. Here is Sherri the post office lady - she HATES HATES HATES her picture taken! But I don't understand why - she's so freakin' cute!!

We always have our Stamp Camp upstairs at the Schuyler Lake Firehouse - great space and really cheap rental fee!!

Here is myself and Christina (or Tini as I refer to her) from my NSSS group on the Cricut message board... I was thrilled to finally meet her - we live about an hour apart and will definitely have to get together to scrap!

Faux Primas

Okay, I fell in love with the simplicity of these Primas so I bought them even though 2 flowers for $3 is a little steep. Then, my crafty little mind came up with the idea that I could do something really similar if not better for a lots less!

So, here are my faux Primas... layers of co-ordindating scraps of fabric, highlighted with stitching(used my Pixie with no problems ...if you don't count not being able to see to thread the needle!) and finished off with a brad.

This all demin flower was my first one and one of my favorites

on the below flower I highlighted the stitching by laying it face down when wandering... not my favorite effect but these are all experiments

This yellow and blue one is another of my favorites... I really wanted to do a pastel one but can you believe I can not find my fabric scraps from years ago??? They were all pastels!! I think I may have gotten rid of them during my last garage sale...
